Science Activities
The Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi organizes various Science Activities to promote scientific temperament among students and to encourage them to learn, think, and express scientific ideas beyond the classroom activities. The programme provides a common platform where students can participate in a variety of activities such as Science Seminar, Science Drama, Science Debate, Science Quiz, Science Poster, Science Slogan, and Sciencetoon. These activities are designed to make science more engaging, relevant and meaningful for students. They encourage learners to ask questions, explore new ideas, understand contemporary developments in science and technology, work together in teams, and communicate their thoughts with clarity and confidence.
Through participation in the Science Activities at various levels, students also get opportunities to demonstrate their creativity, reasoning ability, scientific understanding and presentation skills.The activities are conducted at different levels, beginning with the School Level and progressing through the Zonal Level, Science Centre Level and State Level. Through these initiatives, the Directorate of Education continues its efforts to inculcate scientific temperament and popularise science among students.

Guidelines for Principals/HoSs for participation in the Science Activities:
1- HoSs of all schools of DoE, GNCT of Delhi need to ensure maximum participation of students at their school level so that the best entries could be selected for participation in the Science Activities at the Zonal level.
2- After selection of the entries for the activities at school level, registration of the participating students will be made by the HoS/Principal only by submitting the Registration Forms given in the respective Science Activities above. No other mode of registration for participation in the above said activities will be entertained at any level.
3- The Last Date of the Registration in all the Science Based Activities for the Session 2026-27 is 17.08.2026.
4- After registration, the students will participate in the activities as per specified time, date, and location as informed by their respective Zonal Conveners. Click here for the Details of Zonal Conveners and Science Centers.
5- All the HoSs of Govt./Govt. Aided/Pvt. Unaided recognized schools of DoE are directed to adhere with the guidelines and the instructions given by their respective Zonal Conveners and Science Centres. Any violation of the same may cause rejection from participation at any level.
6- The students and guide teacher of the Registered Schools must bring any one of the following to their respective zonal convener/science centre at the time of their physical participation- 1. Attested copy of the submitted Registration Form received at their e-mail ids, 2. School Id Cards of the Students and Guide/Escort Teacher, 3. Authority Letter duly attested by the concerned HoS.
7- Mere registration for the above science activities does not confirm participation of the school. They are required to physically participate in the above science activities as per time and place given by their respective Zonal Convener/Science Centre.
8- Safety and security of the students shall be paramount and observed by all the concerned HoSs/Guide Teacher/Escort Teacher of the participating students.
