Science-toon Competition

The Science-toon Competition is a creative science activity organised by the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi, to encourage students to communicate scientific and environmental ideas through the engaging medium of cartoons. The activity provides students with an opportunity to combine scientific understanding, observation, imagination, humour, and visual communication while presenting an important message in a simple and thought-provoking form.

A Science-toon uses the language of cartoons to convey an idea connected with science, environment or everyday life. Through illustrations, characters, expressions, captions and visual situations, students can communicate a scientific message in a manner that is interesting, accessible and memorable. The competition therefore enables students to explore science beyond conventional written answers and presentations and to express their understanding through creative visual storytelling.

The Science-toon Competition is open to the students of all classes from Government, Government Aided and Private Unaided recognised schools under the Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi. Schools are expected to conduct the activity at the School Level for their students and select only one student/entry for participation at the Zonal Level.
